Dr. Vernon M. Whaley is Professor of Music and Worship and Founding Dean of Liberty University’s School of Music. Having distinguished himself as a teacher of worship studies for better than thirty-five years, under his leadership, the School of Music is the 7th largest music program in the country with 41 full-time and 31 part time/adjunct faculty, over 1250 students in one of 20 undergraduate, 5 graduate, and Doctor of Worship Studies (DWS) programs. Dr. Whaley is the author of five books on worship and is a favorite conference speaker at worship events. This is the eighth year Dr. Whaley has been part of the NWLC Faculty.
